LUCAS SILVEIRA

Lucas is a Founding Partner and Director of CoastalPort Engineering.

Lucas majored in Oceanography at the University of Vale do Itajaí – UNIVALI and has extensive experience with port and coastal projects, including numerical modeling of coastal processes (waves, currents, tides, sediment transport, morphological changes, dredge plume dispersion, oil spills and submarine outfalls), nautical studies (design of waterways and aids to navigation, vessel maneuvering simulations, mooring studies and analysis of vessels motions under wave action), port and coastal engineering designs (conceptual, FEED and detailed design), field surveys (hydrography, topography, waves, currents, tides and wind measurements, shallow geophysics and geotechnical soundings), execution of dredging and rock blasting works.

Lucas has 13 years of experience with port and coastal projects in Brazil and abroad, participating in more than 150 consulting projects. In 2022 he founded CoastalPort Engineering, where he continues to lead the development of projects for water-related ventures.

VALDECILIO PINHEIRO

Captain (Ret) Pinheiro was part of the Brazilian Navy. During his service time he was responsible for several technical sectors related to Hydroceanography (DHN), being a professor in postgraduate courses at DHN and EGN. Led the development of the EGN War Games Center and acted on the coordination of the development of the Games software that operates in this Centre.

As a Senior Consultant in the private market, he has more than 100 works involving ship and barge maneuvering simulations, navigation workshops, design of navigation channels, mooring studies, design of anchorages and Aids to Navigation (AtoN), issuance of opinions, among others.

FELIPE TOLEDO

Felipe majored in Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, has a specialization in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering from PUC-MG and is currently studying a master’s degree in Sanitation, Environment and Water Resources at UFMG. He has extensive experience in the development of urban infrastructure projects, road, paving, earthworks and sanitation projects (water supply, sanitary sewage and rainwater drainage), in field surveys (data collection, geotechnical surveys and topography), management of contracts, project management, supervision and execution of construction works, design supervision and engineering services.

Felipe has more than 12 years of experience and has worked in several consulting and design companies and in a large mining company. In 2022, he joined CoastalPort Engineering as technical manager, working on studies and engineering projects related to infrastructure, water resources and sanitation.
